Recently I was sent a couple of facial sheet mask samples from Cadden & Lee, a small, UK based brand specialising in natural & organic skincare. I’m always on the lookout for new skincare products and brands so I was delighted when they offered to send me a couple of samples.
Currently they offer two different facial sheets; Rejuvinating & Moisturising with Lavender (suitable for normal/dry skin), and Refreshing & Moisturising with Tea Tree (suitable for normal/oily skin). They can be purchased from the Cadden & Lee website and they are priced at £5 each, or you can buy a pack of 4 for £16.
The first one I tried was the Refreshing & Moisturising with Tea Tree, as I do have some areas of my face which tend to get quite oily. It’s main ingredients are Aloe Vera Gel, Tea Tree Oil, Argan Oil, Coconut Oil, Cucumber Extract, and Avocado Oil. The cotton mask felt so soft and silky when I took it out of the packaging, so straight away I knew I was going to enjoy having it on my face (weird way of describing it I know but we’ll roll with it). Be careful not to tear the mask when you unfold it though because they’re very delicate. I did like the way this mask made my skin feel, however because there are parts of my face that weren’t oily, I felt as though my skin was overcompensating a bit by producing more oil afterwards. So with that said, if you feel like your skin is really oily, this is definitely the one for you. If they sold t-zone masks or a mask suitable for more combination skin then I feel like this would be absolutely perfect for me.
Next up was the Rejuvinating & Moisturising with Lavender. This mask’s main ingredients are Aloe Vera Gel, Lavender Oil, Argan Oil, Baobab Oil, Cucumber Extract, and Jojoba Oil. I wouldn’t say I have dry skin, but my face always benefits from an intensive moisturiser from time to time. The first thing I noticed about this mask was the gorgeous lavender scent – it would be absolutely perfect to help you relax before going to bed. One thing I like about these masks is that they actually stick to your face – others I’ve tried don’t really stay on so you have to lie down and stay still for it to actually work, whereas with these masks you can do other things while wearing it and you can forget about it for a little bit while it works it’s magic. After taking it off my skin felt so soft and moisturised! I was quite surprised because I was expecting it to be over-oily afterwards but it actually wasn’t! This mask would be perfect for anyone with dry skin, but if you have oilier skin like me but you still want some moisturising, it’s still great but you won’t need to use it as often.
Another great thing about Cadden & Lee is that they are completely cruelty free and 100% vegetarian. They only use natural and organic ingredients, free of artificial fragrances, colours, and preservatives. It’s clear from using these samples that they are such high quality and so much thought and research goes into the formulas. I really hope they bring out more products as I’d love to try more of their skincare.
