I’m back with another Green People makeup review, and today I’ll be talking about two products in their makeup range.

They were kind enough to send me their new Velvet Matte Lipstick in Berry Nude, and the new High Definition Eyeliner to try out before they hit the shops.
Let’s start with the Velvet Matte Lipstick.

I was a little apprehensive at first because historically, berry shades don’t tend to work for me. But as this shade is so muted, and more of a nude than a berry, I think I can get away with it. It’s super conditioning and it doesn’t dry out your lips, and its longevity is the best of any lipstick I’ve tried. I didn’t have to reapply at all throughout the day – and I’m quite a messy eater.
It’s packed with gorgeous ingredients, including Carnauba Wax, botanical oils, vitamin E, however it also contains ethically sourced beeswax which does make it unsuitable for vegans. I usually only ever post about fully vegan and cruelty-free products. But, I decided to feature this particular product because I love this brand so much, and in my opinion, if you’re going to buy a non-vegan product you could do a lot worse than Green People.
This lipstick is the follow up to the much-loved Velvet Matte Lipstick in Damask Rose.

Now let’s talk about the High Definition Eyeliner.
There are two things you need to know before I start. 1. My eyeliner skills leave a lot to be desired. And 2. When I do use eyeliner, I tend to stick to liquid.
However, I think I’ve found a new best friend in this eyeliner. For a pencil, it’s so easy to use. A lot of pencil eyeliners don’t glide over the skin that easily, but this one has a mega smooth texture so it doesn’t drag the skin at all.

This liner is both vegan and cruelty-free. One thing which particularly impressed me is how gentle it is on the skin. Pretty important considering it’s going on your eyes, right!? Its key ingredients are natural manula oil, organic Carnauba wax, organic Shea butter, and organic jojoba oil. It’s also waterproof and free from any harsh chemicals or skin irritants.
This eyeliner costs £14.50.
